Happy Independence Day

Happy 4th of July!! I know today is only the 3rd, but I realize a lot of you may have plans tomorrow for the holiday. Maybe it's a BBQ's, a pool day, a beach day, hanging out with family or friends, parties, birthday celebrations like a few friends of mine, boating, a vacation or just a day of relaxation. I'm sorry and thankful to those of you who are working because even with the holiday, there are many jobs that never have a day off! I would like to take the time to say thank you to all those who have been of service to our country in the armed forces, including my friends and family who have served or are currently serving and to those we've lost and will always remember.

A few years ago, my family and I had the opportunity to go to a 4th of July festival in Maine. There were rides, games, animals and so much good food. We gorged ourselves on burgers, lobster and all the sides. The festival we went to is similar to the one Christian and Bree went to the summer they met in "The Unforgettable Summer". Some years we've been able to see the big fireworks, like the ones at the festival, but other years we've happily settled for sparklers and been thrilled just enjoying time on the lake or on a boat or just being with family or friends. Whatever you choose to do this 4th of July, I hope you enjoy the day! I'd love to hear what you do to celebrate the holiday.
